Join us for a 60 min tour and oral history of Hope Chapel, built in 1844 , holding the  title of Lafayette's oldest standing religious structure - now a private residence and Guest House.  

Learn about its complex history and original purpose, all its locations (yes, it was moved by hand more than 3 times!) the folks who were called to serve here and even the ones who chose to stay after their time was done.  Tour includes the history of the owner' macabre collection of oddities and personal accounts of the paranormal since the current owners' renovation in 2022-23.

This fun tour is a mix of true history, local lure, and the stories of both the owner's and guesthouse guest's personal paranormal encounters, strange occurrences and more!  The tour is concluded with an optional 15 min lights out session in the main chapel with an and EMF detector.

Guest must sign a safety waiver at the door, be able to comfortably navigate steps, be at least 12 years or older and sound of mind - or at least sober.

Than our Paranormal Experience and History Tour may be the exact blend  you are looking for - this 90 minute tour dives into the bizarre and very real history of Hope Chapel, Built in 1844 and still standing tall as Lafayette's oldest religious structure. 

This Tour will bring you through the entire guest house giving the history of the church as well as the lure and the various paranormal accounts as conveyed from the owner's and overnight guests as well as local and national paranormal groups such as Eerie Excursions from Cincinnati. OH! 

The tour starts in the main chapel and goes through rooms that once served as minister and priest quarters, old viewing rooms for funerals and confessions, through the basement and pauses for a 15 minute lights out session in the basements and then ending back in the main chapel with 15 more minutes of lights out using paranormal investigation equipment.  Guests are encouraged to bring their own investigation tools as they see fit.

Guests must be comfortable navigating stairs, comfortable with darkness, and must sign a safety waiver at the door.  This tour is intended for 18+ but some exceptions can be made with a legal guardian present.
